An operation is currently underway involving the creation of a website closely resembling that of the Mahatma Phule Agricultural University in Rahuri, used to advertise the recruitment of 30,500 ‘Krishimitras’ (Agricultural Friends). The Department of Agriculture has officially declared that this recruitment drive has absolutely no connection with the university (PDKV Rahuri or Akola). Consequently, candidates are advised to exercise their own discretion and judgment regarding any financial transactions related to this matter. An atmosphere of suspicion has arisen as funds are reportedly being collected from across the state under the guise of this recruitment drive. Meanwhile, the university administration has issued a clear statement clarifying, “We have not published any advertisement regarding recruitment, nor does the website in question belong to us.” Registrar Rajendrakumar Patil stated that an advertisement—published under the name ‘Mahatma Phule Krishi Vikas Kendra’—appeared in a newspaper based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on April 1, 2026. In this advertisement, the said ‘Kendra’ (Center) claimed that one ‘Krishimitra’ would be recruited in every village across the Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Khandesh regions. Furthermore, the advertisement specified a total of 30,500 vacancies, with a promised monthly salary of ₹20,000 for each recruit. The university has absolutely no affiliation with this advertisement; however, the university is receiving numerous inquiries via telephone from various parts of the state. Fundamentally, the post of ‘Krishimitra’ does not even exist within the organizational structure approved by the State Government. Therefore, no such designation as ‘Krishimitra’ exists within the university’s official hierarchy. Moreover, the university has not published any advertisements regarding vacant positions in the recent past.

 

एक महत्वाची माहिती समोर येत आहे मित्रांनो. राहुरी येथील महात्मा फुले कृषी विद्यापीठाशी साम्य असलेले संकेतस्थळ तयार करीत ३० हजार ५०० ‘कृषिमित्र’ भरतीची जाहिरात करण्याचा प्रकार सुरू आहे. या भरतीचा PDKV सोबत कोणताच संबंध नसल्याचे कृषी विभागाने जाहीर केले आहे. त्या मुले उमेदवारांनी कोणताही आर्थिक व्यवहार स्वबुद्धीने करावा. या भरती अंतर्गत त्यासाठी राज्यभरातून पैसे गोळा केले जात असल्याने संशयाचे वातावरण निर्माण झाले आहे. दरम्यान, ‘भरती संदर्भात कोणतीही जाहिरात प्रसिद्ध केली नाही. तसेच संबंधित संकेतस्थळदेखील आमचे नाही,’ अशी स्पष्टोक्ती विद्यापीठ प्रशासनाने केली आहे. कुलसचिव राजेंद्रकुमार पाटील यांनी सांगितले, की ‘महात्मा फुले कृषी विकास केंद्र’ अशा नावाने छत्रपती संभाजीनगर येथील एका वर्तमानपत्रात एक एप्रिल २०२६ रोजी जाहिरात प्रसिद्ध झाली. त्यात या केंद्राने मराठवाडा, विदर्भ आणि खानदेशातील प्रत्येक गावात एक कृषिमित्र भरला जाईल, असे म्हटले आहे. तसेच एकूण जागा ३० हजार ५०० असून प्रत्येकाला २० हजार रुपये वेतन देण्याचे जाहिरातीत नमूद केले आहे. विद्यापीठाचा या जाहिरातीशी संबंध नाही. मात्र विविध भागांमधून चौकशी करणारे दूरध्वनी विद्यापीठाला येत आहेत. मुळात, राज्य शासनाने मंजूर केलेल्या आकृतिबंधात ‘कृषिमित्र’ नावाचे पदच नाही. त्यामुळे विद्यापीठात ‘कृषिमित्र’ असे पदनाम अस्तित्वात नाही. तसेच अलीकडच्या काळात देखील रिक्त पदांबाबत विद्यापीठाने कोणतीही जाहिरात प्रसिद्ध केलेली नाही. 

‘महात्मा फुले कृषी विकास केंद्र’ नामक संस्थेने दिलेल्या या जाहिरातीशी महात्मा फुले कृषी विद्यापीठाचा संबंध नाही, असे विद्यापीठाचे कुलसचिव राजेंद्रकुमार पाटील यांनी स्पष्ट केले आहे. बेरोजगारांकडून पैसे गोळा करण्याचा प्रकार धाराशिवमधील एका कृषी अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले, की कृषी विद्यापीठाशी साम्य असलेले संकेतस्थळ तयार करणारी ही संस्था प्रत्येकाकडून २५० रुपये गोळा करीत आहे. संस्थेने संपर्कासाठी दिलेल्या भ्रमणध्वनी क्रमांकांवर कोणताही प्रतिसाद मिळत नाही. भरतीची ही पद्धत पाहून आम्हाला चिंता वाटते आहे. ग्रामीण भागात बेरोजगारांची संख्या मोठी आहे. या भरतीद्वारे हजारो मुलांची फसवणूक झाल्यास जबाबदार कोण, असा प्रश्न आम्हाला पडला आहे.
